Flight Control
Flight Control is a $0.99 ($4.99 iPad) game by Firemint. In the game, you are presented with map of an airport and the surrounding area. Airplanes start to come in from the side of the screen, so you have to draw a path to a runway. There are several different aircraft, each one with a specific run way. As the game progresses, you start to encounter more and more problems. As planes fill up the screen, you have to adjust the paths, or else the planes (or helicopters) will crash and then the game is over. The goal is to land as many aircraft as you can before a collision. The gameplay is simple, intuitive, and quick to understand, but it gets more frustrating as more and more aircraft cluttter the screen. However, there are a range of maps to choose from which range from easy to hard. There is also a multiplayer mode that joins your map with other peoples', so if you don't have room for any more planes you can just send them off the screen. I like the fact that you can just pick up and play whenever you feel like it. I give it 5 stars and recommend it for ages 7 and up.
